Preservation Society’s Carriage House Book Release Party was a Success

On December 16 owners of carriage houses in Salem gathered with other Preservation Society members and special guests to preview A Backyard History/The Carriage House Book; an illustrated guide to 31carriage houses in Salem.  It was a fun celebratory gathering where guests anxiously enjoyed the newly completed book while they visited with old friends, neighbors and new acquaintances.  The book committee has received many favorable comments and book sales have been strong.  Almost 1/3 of the copies of the book have been sold in the first three weeks.  The remaining books are available for sale at the Ginger Jar, Kolby’s, the Historical Society Museum Gift Shop, the DH Gallery, and the Flower Loft. Box 1034, Salem, Ohio 44460.  Books cost $22.00 including tax.  Out of town customers will pay the cost of the book plus shipping.
